DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by one of our experienced guides/drivers who will escort you to Arusha for a rest at the hotel. He will introduce you to this wonderful city and country.
After your long flight, you will be pleased to know that Arusha, the undisputed safari capital of East Africa, is perched 1,400 metres above sea level, keeping temperatures and humidity relatively low. Surrounding this major city are some of Tanzania’s greatest delights. Mount Meru rises behind Arusha, and on a clear day, you can even see Kilimanjaro. Arusha offers the ideal base for safari lovers, with easy access to the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Arusha is a busy agricultural area, administrative and tourist centre; the perfect place to relax after a long journey and before heading out on safari on the holiday of a lifetime.

Accommodation: B&B.

DAY 2: ARUSHA - P.N. TARANGIRE

Today we set off early. We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive south towards the stunning Tarangire National Park. Considered one of the must-see parks for a dream safari, as it is home to the largest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, with a diverse mix of predators.

We will arrive before lunch and begin the safari to discover the wonders of Tarangire, often referred to as the “garden of baobabs”. At times, up to 300 elephant herds can be seen, as well as being home to buffalo, lions, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, impala and gazelle, among others.

The swampy shores of Lake Burunge are a magnet for these mammals, and the waters attract many beautiful bird species. Keep an eye out for giant kingfishers, hoopoes and the white-bellied bird.

At the end of an inspiring afternoon amongst the wildlife, we will retire to the comfort of the lodge for dinner and some rest.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 3: P.N. TARANGIRE - KARATU

In the morning you will continue your safari in Tarangire Park. Afterwards, you will head towards Karatu, at the entrance to the Ngorongoro protected area. During the journey, you will visit the village of Mto Wa Mbu and discover its colourful craft market. In the afternoon, you will arrive at the hotel to relax.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER - NDUTU

Today you will enjoy a safari inside the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest volcanic caldera in the world, filled with grasslands, forests and swamps, an environment of astonishing beauty. The permanent water on the floor of the crater supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here you will find many of the reasons why you chose to come on safari: elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, antelopes, baboons… even the rare black rhinoceros finds refuge here.

The Maasai tribe has the privilege of sharing this impressive space with animals, grazing their cattle in an area that has been a conservation area since 1956 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. This harmonious coexistence between man and beast makes Ngorongoro unique in Tanzania.

You will then continue your safari in the beautiful Ndutu area, between Ngorongoro and the southern Serengeti, where the alkaline lake Ndutu is located. It is the best area to observe a wide variety of animals throughout the year. Dinner and rest at the lodge.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Optional activities: Visit to a Masai village

DAY 5: NDUTU - P.N. SERENGETI CENTER

After breakfast, we’ll pack up our things and set off on our journey northeast to the world’s most famous park, the Serengeti. Along the way, the sheer scale of the land and the natural beauty of the landscapes will be revealed to you, and your driver-guide will help you identify the animals and birds you spot along the way.

After enjoying a picnic lunch, you’ll immerse yourself in one of the greatest wildlife opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. These endless plains are home to elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos and crocodiles. In the late afternoon, exhausted and elated, it’s time to return to your hotel for dinner and to discuss the day’s fantastic experiences.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 6: P.N. SERENGETI CENTER - P.N. NORTH SERENGETI

We will enjoy a good breakfast and begin the journey north, advancing little by little and making safari stops to enjoy the wonders of the park.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 7: NORTH SERENGETI NP

Waking up in the Serengeti is a truly special experience. Surrounded by the sounds and smells of Africa, a day full of adventure awaits us. After breakfast, we will begin the game drive through the northern area, in search of the Great Migration in the Mara River and surrounding areas. At dusk, we will return to camp for dinner and rest.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 8: P.N. NORTH SERENGETI – KILIMANJARO

In the morning, transfer to the airfield for your flight to Kilimanjaro, where you will connect with your return flight or an extension to Zanzibar.
