Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by one of our experienced guides/drivers who will escort you to Arusha for a rest at the hotel. The guide will give you an introduction to this wonderful city and country.

After your long flight, you will be pleased to know that Arusha, the undisputed safari capital of East Africa, is located 1400 metres above sea level, keeping temperatures and humidity relatively low. Surrounding this major city are some of Tanzania’s great delights. Mount Meru rises behind Arusha, and on a clear day it is even possible to see Kilimanjaro.

Arusha offers the ideal base for safari lovers, with easy access to the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. As well as being a busy agricultural area and administrative centre, it is the perfect place to relax after a long journey… and before beginning the safari, the adventure of a lifetime

Welcome to Arusha and welcome to Tanzania!

B&B accommodation

DAY 2: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE N.P.

Today we will leave early, pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and head south to the stunning Tarangire National Park. This park is considered one of the must-sees for a dream safari, as it is home to the largest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, with a diverse mix of predators.

We will arrive before lunch and begin the safari to discover the wonders of Tarangire, often known as the “garden of the baobabs”. According to legend, these iconic African trees were turned upside down by the gods as punishment for human pride. During the tour, herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen, as well as buffalo, lions, wildebeest, zebras, leopards, impalas and gazelles, among others.

At the end of an inspiring afternoon surrounded by wildlife, we will retire to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Meals included: Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 3: TARANGIRE N.P. - SERENGETI N.P.

After breakfast, we will leave Tarangire National Park behind and head northeast towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, the sheer scale of the land and the natural beauty of the landscapes will be revealed to us, as your driver-guide will help you identify the animals and birds that appear. This is just a taste of what is to come, as the Serengeti is home to one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the world.

After enjoying a picnic lunch, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vast, “endless plains” of the Serengeti are home to elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos and crocodiles, among others. The real adventure will have begun.

In the late afternoon, exhausted but elated by the experiences you have had, it will be time to head to the lodge to enjoy dinner and share the fantastic experiences of the day.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 4: SERENGETI N.P.

Waking up in the Serengeti is a truly special experience. We will be surrounded by the sounds, sights and scents of Africa, as we prepare for a day full of adventure in the world’s most famous national park.

After breakfast, we will continue our game drive in the central area of the park, known as Seronera, which owes its name to the Seronera River. This region is one of the areas with the highest density of felines in all of Africa. The landscape is dotted with rock formations called “Kopjes”, where lions or leopards can often be spotted resting. The open savannah south of the river is an ideal place to observe cheetahs. We will marvel at the stunning landscapes, the changing light and the ever-active wildlife.

Throughout the day, the wonders of the Serengeti will subtly evolve. Animals and birds are the undisputed “stars of the show”, and nature’s dramas can unfold at any moment. Since the animals do not have a fixed schedule, we could encounter lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, cheetahs and antelopes at any time.

In the late afternoon, we will return to the lodge to enjoy dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Optional: early morning balloon safari.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Please note: If you have booked the balloon safari for today, you will be picked up at 05:00 for a 06:00 departure. After 90 minutes of unforgettable aerial adventure, you will enjoy a breakfast on the savannah accompanied by champagne. Afterwards, your driver will collect you for the full-day safari.

DAY 5: SERENGETI N.P.– NGORONGORO CRATER

The thrilling sounds of Africa will wake you from your sleep. We will continue our safari heading out of the park to continue our adventure to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s natural icons.

We will descend into the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, a true natural sanctuary that is home to some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. This is one of the few places where it is possible to observe the rare black rhino in its natural environment. Since very few animals migrate in and out of the crater due to its 600-meter-high walls, it is common to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes and a wide variety of birds. This is one of the most propitious sites to observe the “Big Five”, including the black rhino.

We will have a picnic lunch on the shores of Lake Magadi, where hippos, flamingos and various birds of prey can be seen.

The Masai tribe share this impressive space with the animals, grazing their cattle in an area that has been an independent conservation zone since 1956 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. This harmonious coexistence between humans and animals is what makes Ngorongoro unique in Tanzania.

In the evening, we will head to the accommodation after enjoying an exciting safari into the crater.

Optional: Visit to the Olduvai Gorge, visit to the Masai tribe.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
